Solo Performance: MAD Festival at Nazareth College

On April 2, 2017, 6:30pm at Nazareth College, I will perform a new solo work-in-process: Image of an Heirloom. This solo addresses the personal, yet universal, notion of blood memory. How do the memories of my ancestors live in my body? What is the effect those (told and untold) histories have on the ways in which I live in and understand the world? Through improvisational structures in which I discover of familiar and new movement in the moment, I pursue the ways in which my body -- flesh, blood current, vitality, consciousness-- and my physical range of expression, is my most meaningful and precious heirloom.
